Privacy Policy for PocketRing

PocketRing ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information in the PocketRing mobile application.

1. No Data Collection

PocketRing is designed with a "Local-First" architecture. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal data to external servers. All information remains exclusively on your device.

2. Permissions and Usage

To provide its core automation features, PocketRing requires specific sensitive permissions. We only use these permissions to trigger local device actions:

• SMS (SEND_SMS): Used solely to send automated replies to callers when the "Auto-Reply" feature is enabled by the user and the device is in a pocket.
• Phone State (READ_PHONE_STATE): Used to detect incoming calls to trigger volume boosts and automated responses.
• Location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION): Used for "Place Profiles" (Geofencing) to adjust volume based on your current physical location. This data never leaves your device.
• Contacts (READ_CONTACTS): Used only to allow you to select "Priority Contacts" who can bypass silent mode.
• Activity Recognition: Used to detect when you are walking or driving to automate pocket detection logic.

3. Data Storage

All user-created data, including Place Profiles, Priority Contacts, and History Logs, are stored in a private local database on your device. This data is deleted if you uninstall the application.

4. Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your information with any third parties. There are no analytics or advertising SDKs bundled with this application.

5. User Control

Users have full control over all features and permissions. You may enable or disable specific automation triggers and revoke permissions at any time through the Android System Settings.
